Distance learning is becoming an essential component of modern engineering education, but moving a traditional engineering course online remains challenging. During this webinar we intend to touch upon how you can leverage tools available free of cost from Quanser to offer students credible lab activities accessible off-campus but integrate them into your online lectures and bring even more interaction and engagement to your course material. The webinar is specifically meant for academicians looking to implement a hands-on, experiential approach to engineering education while inspiring students.

Presenter Details
Peter Martin - He is an engineering education specialist who has been a member of the Quanser R&D team for almost ten years. As R&D Manager for Academic, Peter is responsible for vision, strategy, and management of the academic applications team and product owner for core educational platforms and products including software applications, curriculum, and mobile apps. Peter currently manages several project teams developing the next generation of virtual and remote lab platforms and the Quanser robotic manipulator. Peter is also heavily involved in product marketing and technical sales. Before starting at Quanser, Peter was a laboratory engineer and consulting mechatronics engineer at the University of Toronto, and once Spiderman for a summer.
Thuvishan Rajagulasingam - He is the Territory Manager at Quanser Inc, a leader in real-time control and mechatronics solutions for education and research, where Thuvishan develops regional partnerships with universities and distributors from across the globe. For over 3 years, Thuvishan has worked with numerous reputable universities in more than 15 different countries to modernize their engineering education, while developing and implementing company’s strategy for international business development. Thuvishan holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Mechatronics Systems from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Canada.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear."
